Agency for Regional Development of AP Vojvodina at the 9th Organic Production Forum in Selenča
The Centre for Organic Production Selenča in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network and the Vojvodina Organic Agriculture Cluster, and with the support of the Agency for Regional Development of AP Vojvodina and the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, organized the 9th Organic Production Forum on September 25, 2015. The forum was dedicated to the placement of organic products on domestic and international markets.
The concept of this year's forum included four key elements:
The plenary section for small producers „Placement challenges for small organic producers“, where members of the Centre presented the advantages and problems of various sales channels of organic products from their own experiences.
The round table on the subject „How to increase the export performance of organic producers - state support - THE BEST MODEL“, where representatives of large organic producers, in discussions with representatives of institutions and with the participation of guests from Slovakia, considered the best model for the state support to export activities.
B2B - Business meetings of companies from the organic sector: producers, processors and distributors. In addition, the event was open to related sectors such as agricultural machinery, fertilizers and plant protection, packaging, agriculture for renewable energy sources, equipment for food production and processing, applied sciences and research, use of innovation technologies in agriculture, etc.
The research and development sessions in which representatives of development institutions discussed innovative solutions in agriculture, current activities and project proposals.
Through this concept, the objective of the 9th Organic Production Forum was to help organic producers to improve their presence on the market by adjusting to the market´s demands, increasing product placement, diversifying sales channels, finding business partners in the country and abroad, as well as by intensifying communication with institutions, with the aim of providing better support to export activities.
